Ohio State students find stranger living in locked basement room

A group of Ohio State students are making news after the university’s student newspaper reported they found a man living in the basement of their off-campus home – and he’d been there a while.

The roommates told The Lantern that before their rental company evicted the squatter, they thought his makeshift room – which had been locked from the inside – was a utility closet.

They even joked about the house on 13th Avenue in Columbus as being “haunted.”
