Today is National ‘Ghostbusters’ Day

CULVER CITY, Calif. – Who you gonna call? Grab your friends and Slimer enthusiasts, because the 80s hit “Ghostbusters” is celebrating its 30th anniversary this Labor Day weekend.

The 1984 blockbuster, which has been restored and remastered, will return to the big screen at more than 700 theaters nationwide for a limited engagement.

A special edition “Ghostbusters” and “Ghostbusters II” (which marks its 25th anniversary this year) will be released on Sept. 16 on Blu-ray. The special edition includes commentary and 10 deleted scenes.

The “Ghostbusters” soundtrack will be released as a collectible vinyl LP this year.
