Women Swimmin’ event raises nearly $360k

A successful weekend for the 11th annual Women Swimmin’ event that took place on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca.

Organizers say by Monday morning, they collected close to $360,000 in donations for the event, which benefits Hospicare in Ithaca.

The Women Swimmin’ event has swimmers head across Cayuga Lake during the early morning fundraiser, which helps patient and family services here in Tompkins County.
