A South Carolina man was arrested by State Police last week on weapons charges.

Troopers say 32 year old Charles Smith was pulled over Friday for having a headlight out on Route 13 in the Town of Dryden and during the stop, noticed he was in possession of a loaded revolver.

Police say Smith didn’t have a valid pistol permit in New York State.

He was sent to Tompkins County Jail for criminal possession of a weapon.

Bail was set at $1,000 cash.
