A 21 year old Ithacan was arrested last night on criminal mischief and burglary charges after Police say he broke into a house and damaged some property.

Police say Brian O’Connor entered a home on East Seneca Street and caused some damage to the house, took a fire extinguisher from the wall mount and attempted to flee.

O’Connor was confronted by several residents who managed to get a good description of him before Police tracked him down and took him into custody.

He was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and released on an appearance ticket.
