The Forest Home Bridge near the Cornell campus is officially open as of the end of last week.

The Tompkins County Highway Division reopened the bridge Friday, just as Cornell students were returning for the school year.

Access to the Cornell Plantations and Caldwell Road was limited until the work was completed.

County Highway Manager Jeff Smith says the new bridge will give students, faculty, and staff access to that part of the campus near the Plantations.
