Temperatures are going to reach the 70’s later in the week, and the Tompkins County Highway Division is ramping up their work.

Highway Manager Jeff Smith says $180,000 in road repair aid from the State was a healthy shot in the arm.

Smith says the Highway Division will be repairing about 17 miles worth of roadways this summer.

He expects the Hanshaw Road reconstruction project in the Town of Ithaca, as well as the Forest Home Bridge replacement to finish by August.
