A Cortland man was killed in a single car crash along McGraw Marathon Road in Solon over the weekend.

State Police say 27 year old Robert Suben lost control of his car on a curve around 6:30 Sunday evening and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say speed is believed to be the preliminary cause of the crash.

Suben is the son of Cortland County District Attorney Mark Suben.
