A consultant hired by New York state to review the impacts of fracking says there are “substantial concerns and major uncertainties” to address.

John Adgate works for the Colorado School of Public Health, and in a recent publication, said those uncertainties should be addressed before expanding fracking nationally.

Adgate is one of three consultants working with the State’s health commissioner on a review of the controversial drilling process.

Our media partner, Capital New York, reports that state officials planto use the opinions of the three consultants, including Adgate, in a final report on the health impacts of expanded drilling.

However, there’s been no confirmation of when that report will be issued.
