Woman ticketed after crashing into house on Route 79

An Ithaca woman suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning after crashing her car into a house on Route 79 in the Town of Enfield.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies say 45 year old Laura Staubes was driving east on 79 when she crossed the center line and went off the north shoulder of the roadway into a house.

No one was inside at the time of the accident.

Deputies say Staubes had minor injuries and was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for treatment.

She has been issued a ticket for failure to keep right and unsafe speed. Staubes is set to appear in Town of Enfield Court later this month.
