Woman stabs boyfriend in Ithaca Jungle, charged with assault

kaufman_mug

Couples argue all the time, but it’s rare for them to lie to police and say they were stabbed and robbed instead.

Ithaca Police talked to 31-year-old Jill Kaufman and her boyfriend last Saturday after responding to the city’s Jungle.

Kaufman’s boyfriend was stabbed in the leg, and police say the couple told them it was part of a robbery.

Police put the pieces together and determined that Kaufman stabbed her boyfriend during an argument.

Kaufman is now charged with assault.
