Cornell University Police charged three Tompkins County men with felony stolen property charges after an officer found them in possession of two guns in the Town of Ithaca.

Following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning, the officer found a 16-gauge shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle in the car, both of which were reported stolen in the City of Ithaca.

20 year olds Ruben Tarrats Jr. and Asa Alpert-Eschbach of Ithaca, and 20 year old Nagee Green of Dryden were charged with criminal possession of stolen property. Tarrats was also charged with various traffic violations.

The investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.

All three were arraigned in Ithaca Town Court and sent to Tompkins County Jail pending further court action.
