Seward funding energizes NETS expansion

Seward funding energizes NETS expansion

Northeast Transformer Services will be getting some state money to help with its relocation and expansion to the Town of Preble.

Thanks to help from local State Senator James Seward, NETS will be getting a $250,000 grant in addition to Preble’s $750,000 Small Cities Grant to aid in the relocation.

The relocation will allow the manufacturing company to increase its 52 full time employee staff.

Northeast Transformer Services also reached a payment in lieu of taxes agreement with Cortland County’s Industrial Development Agency to assist with property tax costs for a ten year period.
