Rabid bobcat attacks man in Tioga County

A Tioga County man was attacked by a bobcat this week that was confirmed to be rabid.

The Tioga County Health Department says the man was attacked in the Town of Nichols.

The health department says if you are going to be outdoors that you be aware of your surroundings and on the lookout for animals that are acting unusual.

Supervise young children playing outdoors and inform older children to avoid and stay away from animals.
