Powerball jackpot reaches $550M

Saturday’s Powerball jackpot will reach an estimated $550-million.

If a New Yorker wins – where the 8.8% tax-rate on lottery winnings is the highest in the nation – they’d take home a lump sum of $231-million.

Tomorrow’s jackpot is estimated to be the game’s second-highest of all-time behind only the $656-million haul won in March, 2012.
