NYS allocates funds for state park improvements

State Parks across New York are receiving $90 million for construction projects through the New York Works program.

The funding is the second round of aid through the capital program to renovate and repair more than 50 state parks and historic sites across New York.

The Finger Lakes region will be receiving $7.9 million toward work at seven parks.

A large portion of the $5.8 million designated for parks in the Southern Tier will go toward an upgraded electric system, renovated restrooms and resurfaced roads at Taughannock Falls State Park.
