UPDATE: Man in fair condition after bike accident in Ithaca

A man is in fair condition after riding his bike into a parked truck Wednesday afternoon in downtown Ithaca.

Ithaca Fire officials say the man was riding his bike on Seneca Street around 3 p.m. Wednesday, when he crashed into the back of a parked Verizon truck near the Hilton Garden Inn.

Ithaca Fire and Police responded, along with Bangs Ambulance crews, to find the man on the ground with multiple injuries. He was flown by helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital.

Police said Wednesday night that the man sustained a head injury, and multiple cuts to his legs.
