Ithaca Police search for robbery suspect

Ithaca Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Monday morning in the 500 block of West State Street.

A male victim told police that around 3 a.m. he was robbed by a man he believed was carrying a handgun.

The suspect stole his wallet, cellphone, and jacket, and then proceeded to make sexual advances towards him. The victim shoved the suspect who then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, clean-shaven with short hair, 5’9 tall, and wearing an orange puffy jacket and dark clothes underneath.
