Police: Ithaca man choked person during dispute

An Ithaca man was arrested by New York State Police Wednesday for assault and illegal possession of pot.

Troopers say 22-year-old Dana Perreault was arrested following a reported dispute in which he choked someone at a residence on Hanshaw Road.

Perreault was arraigned in Dryden Town Court and sent to Tompkins County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.

An order of protection was issued against him by the town court on behalf of the victim.
