The Village of Groton celebrates hometown America this weekend.

The Groton Olde Home Days Festival kicks off this weekend, and features live entertainment from more than 17 bands, as well as events for people of all ages.

“The whole town is just swelled with stuff this year, and it should be really exciting,” said event chairman Scott Marlette. “We have all the bands on the mainstage and fireworks will be at the end of the whole event.”

The fireworks will launch at dusk.
