Gillibrand applauds SCOTUS ruling on DOMA

One of New York’s Senators is reacting to the Supreme Court’s ruling of the Defense of Marriage Act to be unconstitutional.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says quote—“today is a historic day for our country on its long march towards upholding the fundamental values this country was founded upon of fairness, equality and justice.”

She says its time for Congress to do its job to get this quote “corrosive law” off the books so there is certainty for all loving committed couples across state lines.
