Gas leak forces evacuations at SUNY Cortland

A gas leak on the upper SUNY Cortland campus prompted the evacuation of several buildings Thursday morning.

Four academic buildings, including the library, were evacuated due to the leak, which was determined to be caused by a construction accident.

The leak did not affect the arrival of the New York Jets, who came in through the lower campus.

All buildings were safe to occupy by 1 p.m. No injuries were reported.
