Feds reveal new fracking rules

The U.S. government is unveiling its latest version of rules for fracking on federal land.

The rules released yesterday require companies to disclose chemicals they inject by using an online database, with an exception for substances considered to be trade secrets.

Companies are also required to verify that wells are drilled properly so that groundwater is not contaminated by toxic fluids.
