Dake named finalist for national honor

Lansing native Kyle Dake is one of five finalists for the Sports Illustrated Male College Athlete of the Year award.

This year, the Cornell wrestler became the first in NCAA history to win four national titles at four different weight classes.

Dake is competing against St. Cloud State hockey player Drew LeBlanc, Michigan basketball player Trey Burke, USC football player Khaled Holmes, and Duke basketball player Tyler Thornton.

Winners will be announced in the magazine edition out May 22nd.
